Travel Products
Live well, be well
Travel Fact:
Every day, I receive requests to review new travel-related products.
When you spend a good portion of your life on the road as I do, chances are you’ll develop a home-away-from-home mindset. When I pack for a trip, whether it’s an overnight assignment or a weeklong adventure, I pack my favorite books, download my motivational podcasts to my library, select music, and stash food I can eat while away from my abode. Not all of the items I stow in my tailgate are necessarily travel related but all of these fine travel products I review are the good things of life.
Fly fishing equipment, sneakers or hiking boots, hats, exercise gear, and specialty food products, are some of the “comfort” items I bring. Although they might not be on the top of everyone’s list, I feel more relaxed knowing they’re at my fingertips in the back of my vehicle. Anytime I feel my balance is even a little “off,” I reach out to reserve in my traveling inventory.
This page is an opportunity for me to provide my readers with resources and information related to products and services I’ve tried and recommend. While I might have received compensation or trials to review these products and services, rest assured I will not promote any product or service unless I’ve tried it myself and it serves a useful purpose. Click on the links provided to learn more and be sure to leave a comment here or share a link on your social media.
Stop by my site often for new reviews. You’ll find information related to outdoor recreational, camera and video equipment, spa services, books, food, luggage and airline carry-on bags, clothing and accessories, linens, and just about anything that will make your life easier and more enjoyable.
If you have a product you’d like to me to consider, please message me. I’ll provide a brief description on this page. For information regarding sponsored posts and advertising, visit http://wp.me/P7Pqe9-6S or contact me directly.
“Finding Your Ruby Slippers: Transformative Life Lessons from the Therapist’s Couch” Lisa Ferentz
(www.pesipublishing.com)
https://www.amazon.com/Lisa-Ferentz/e/B005SXT2Q2
Are you confident in your ability to make decisions or choices that could profoundly affect your life?
I read 199 pages in Finding Your Ruby Slippers by Lisa Ferentz in less than two days. That’s a record for me. This is a book you’ll likely read once but keep close by as a reference.
Lisa provides practical advice and enlightening exercises and her writing style is engaging and personalized. Are you looking to grow and heal? Have you suffered through some very difficult times in your life that have left you feeling zapped? She encourages readers to look deep within their souls so they can work through issues and free themselves from those old, all-too-familiar behaviors and patterns that have kept them from growing and moving forward.
I think we all have triggers that bring on anxiety and melt away our self-confidence and I highly recommend this book as a means to get or keep your life on track.
Orvis Fly Fishing Equipment
http://www.orvis.com/encounter-fly-rods
Four years ago, I participated in my first fly fishing class, but as time went by, I realized I needed my own equipment to fully appreciate my new hobby. Fly fishing is a sport that takes years to master through continuous trial and error. That means time on the water and getting comfortable with your equipment.
I purchased my first fly rod and reel at an Orvis endorsed retail store, A & G Outfitters in Dickson City, PA and I visit the store regularly during the height of our fishing season. One year later, I purchased a heavier weight rod and reel for a steelhead trip I took two years ago and two other combos my sons use when we fish together.
“National Geographic: Unique Lodges of the World”
natgeolodges.com/unique or call +1-312-940-7404
There is travel and there is TRAVEL with opportunities for hands-on engagement and exploration. If world-class accommodations, combined with discovery and intimate encounters with lesser known parts of the world is your idea of a vacation, you will want to get your hands on a copy of “National Geographic: Unique Lodges of the World.”
I can’t make up my mind if I’m more impressed by the guide’s brilliant photography and insightful interpretations or the partnership and mission of National Geographic and the lodge owners. Together, they have teamed up to celebrate nature and cultures and preserve the environment, while at the same time, providing a genuine educational environment where children and adults can learn and explore.
Throughout this 123-page guide, you’ll find a page dedicated to each of the 120 select National Geographic endorsed lodges from North America to Austrailia and the Pacific. The lodges were selected because of their commitment to sustainable practices and support for natural and cultural heritage. A full description of the lodge’s history and its contribution to the environment, “About This Lodge” and “Things To Do” bulleted lists, a brief “Why We Love This Lodge” narrative and details of a complimentary “National Geographic Exclusive Experience” guests are at your fingertips in a clear-cut format.
When you book your trip through Natural Geographic, a portion of the proceeds from all National Geographic Travel programs will be used to help fund other initiatives. If you are looking for a dream trip, travel specialists are available to help you plan each leg of your journey.

Safe Catch Elite Tuna
NON GMOÂ verified with the lowest mercury limit of any brand

If you’re like me, sticking to a healthy food plan is a necessity. Take SafeCatch Elite Tuna on trips for a quick meal or snack while you’re traveling. Pair the tuna with an apple or fruit of your choice, multi-grain crackers, or add to a salad.
Safe Catch pure tuna is moist and flavorful and conveniently packaged in a 5 oz. can or a 3 oz. single serving pouch.
In addition to the flavor, a safety first mindset is also what attracted me to Safe Catch. Each individual packet is tested for mercury, wild and sustainably caught and hand cut and packed to retain its nutrients and flavor. A Safe Catch tuna is tested to levels 10x more stringent than the FDA and is made for athletes, kids and pregnant women.
Safe Catch founders, Sean and Bryan have invented a new technology to test every fish for mercury and have partnered with the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch program. The product is NON-GMO Project, Official Tuna of the American Pregnancy Association, “Healthy Child Healthy World,” and Paleo Certified.
You can purchase Safe Catch Albacore online at safecatch.com or use the store locator search to find a retailer near you.
