Five drowning fatalities along the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River in summer 2011 prompted the “WEAR IT!” campaign. The slogan encourages individuals to wear their life jackets when swimming, fishing, camping, and boating or anytime you’re recreating in and around the water.
