Jon Lomberg is in Australia for National Science Week and is a guest blogger on www.10dayofscience.com
He was invited to a physics lecture at the University of Sydney after somewhat fortuitously meeting Prof. Bryan M. Gaensler at a dinner the evening before. Gaensler was scheduled to give a lecture the next day on astronomy in the media and was planning on covering ‘Contact’. He took the opportunity to hand the lecture the next day over to Lomberg … understandably. A spontaneous talk from Lomberg to the rapt students ensued on Weds August 19, some of which I captured here.
